Reflections

Reflections is a body of monoprints that explores moments of stillness and play through images of dogs and their mirrored forms in water. Drawn to the natural curiosity and light-hearted presence of dogs, these works capture fleeting encounters where movement pauses just long enough for a reflection to appear.

The reflected image becomes more than a simple doubling. Distorted, softened and reshaped by ripples, it invites a slower way of looking. The water acts as a quiet space for contemplation, encouraging the viewer to linger, to notice subtle shifts in line, tone and atmosphere.

Balancing playfulness with calm, Reflections considers how moments of joy and attention can also be meditative. The dogs’ engagement with their surroundings mirrors our own, reminding us to pause, observe, and find stillness within everyday encounters.
